I’m Hailey, an independent hairstylist currently located in suite 15 at Salon Lofts Uptown in MPLS, MN. I do cuts and colors of all kinds and I specifically love alternative cuts and blonding—shags, mullets, highlights, vivid colors, etc. I’m happy to do any type of haircut or color though so don’t hesitate to book if you just want something classic! I love chatting about hair and giving my clients the knowledge they need to make autonomous decisions about their hair. Below is basically what amounts to a blog where I spill all of my little musings about hair.
Ok so if I haven't made it obvious, I absolutely love bleach and tones! I want to talk to y'all about what it takes to be a blonde. Bleach & tone is just 1 of many ways to go blonde [and I love doing them all!].
There is so much info out there about the ins and outs of blonding that it can be confusing, so here's a quick overview of the key points you should know.
How To Be A Bleach & Tone 101:
-Prioritize coming in regularly. Every 8 weeks is ideal, 10 weeks is fine, 12 weeks is doable
-Make that 1-time investment in the good products. They last forever and your hair will thank you. A quality leave in conditioner, repair serum, and purple shampoo are my must-haves.
-Get regular trims; a haircut every other appointment will actually help your hair grow in the long run
-Blonde doesn't have to be pricey, in fact the more you keep up with it the less expensive it will be! Correcting grown out roots is double the price, time, and patience.
Honestly, if you want to be blonde and you love your hair, it's totally accessible financially. Setting aside $120 per month is plenty for appointments with money left over for product. The initial process can be more expensive but once you're in a routine it's so easy. Hey y'all! Just wanted to introduce myself again, I'm Hailey aka Hailey Kay Hair and I'm an independent hairstylist at suite 15 at Salon Lofts in Uptown Minneapolis, MN. I've been behind the chair for 9 years now and I love doing all different types of hair and cuts: chic french bobs, wavy shag cuts, fashion mullets, bixies, pixies, even just a basic trim for health! I especially love razor cuts but I usually use both razors and shears on all of my cuts.
I'm also a colorist and I adore every single color client from my classic brunettes to my rainbow babes. I particularly cherish my fellow all over bleach blondes! I have a ton of experience in this and always make room on my books for my fresh bleach and tone clients.
